Smoky Sweet Potato and Kale Dip

Without a doubt barbeque is one of the most recognizable flavors in the world. Smoky and sweet with a unique kick to the taste buds. It sends memories of burgers, picnic tables, pool parties, cook outs racing through peoples heads. In general, barbeque is a reminder of good times with friends or family. Usually BBQs are full of grilled "meat" and other unhealthy stuff. For us vegans though...we get creative with grilled veggies, fruits, tofu, homemade veggie burgers or even try the new ... Lemon Pea Buddha Bowl

I love making random food bowls...more esthetically named "Buddha Bowls". They are such a great way to use up leftover food knowing it will still somehow end up tasting great lol. This particular buddha bowl has a unique mixture of a double dose of "pea"....yea....chickpeas and yellow split peas. Flavored with the double dose of lemons, this bowl is basically a multi-vitamin. I love the chickpea/pea mix because it is very hearty and filling but when paired with the raw kale salad it ... Continue Reading

Valentine's day is a day of passion, romance, and love (or at least that is what it is intended to be). In reality, for most of us the day is filled with lots of heart shaped candy, chocolate and maybe a nice dinner date. Not as exciting as it could be huh?!? I made this Valentine's day burger to bring people out of the same V-day rut. This sweet potato burger is healthy, nutritious, cute and full of life, energy and compassion.
